This is my first train I have bought, and it makes me want to expand my collection, I bought it for my 3 year old son who plays with it everyday, putting passengers on in the train and the occasional animal on the top, he picked up the remote controls straight away, controlling its speed and stopping range to stop it in the station.

The only down side is it will easily derail if too fast, and can be a hands and knees job to get back in line. Overall, once you learn its limits its an amazing little thing! I have been researching LEGO trains for a little while and decided to get the High-Speed Passenger Train because of its sleek design and price. Not only is this my first train set, but it is also my first set with Power Functions and I am thrilled. The Power Functions on the train make for great play and it is really fun to watch the train fly around the track.

One of my favorite parts about the train is that it can hold a ton of minifigures. There are eight seats total in the train, and you can make other minifigures stand in the train. I was able to fit 24 figures in the train at once! The only critique I have has to do with the design. If the train is moving too fast it will derail around a corner. I did a little research on this issue and was able to find an easy fix to the problem. All in all this set is amazing and I look forward to playing with it for years to come! Quite a nice set to build. The design has been well thought-out as the detail allows the builder to be wowed and amazed as you build. The quality and the meticulous design has truly been why people always purchase Lego. Thanks for reminding me how much I love Lego. The detail for the train was good and the use of it was very creative by LEGO. But, I think that it needed a little more function. Such as: a mini-store, grass plates around the tracks or maybe even some extra vehicles.

In overall, I'm satisfied with what LEGO produced. this train is very good quality and fun to play with when you are using the train station and cargo train. would recommend that you purchase other tracks along with the train as it becomes a lot more fun to use. in my opinion, the train should come with gates for the railway crossing and a signal for the trains. the train is easy to build and set up but takes a bit of time. it also de-rails easily. I liked this train because of the nice design. I got this set in May 2014 when it was new. One major disappointment was that the center car only had 4 seats, I was really hoping for 6. When I got it, I had to chose between this one and the 2010 passenger train, I chose this one because of design. The level crossing looked good The front of the train was unstable due to the large front, it lacked a good building experience. Overall, I don't regret it because the power functions it comes with are very useful. This Lego train looks great, works great and has excellent play value.

This Lego passenger train is most likely the best looking train I have in my city, but not many things come without disadvantages. First of all, the piece that covers the "cockpit" of the train is very hard to put on, so if you want to constantly take the driver in and out of the train, you will have some trouble. Second, holes are exposed in the passenger car. This isn't a big deal, at all, but it is kind of annoying. Third, why only a single lane crossing? Its better than nothing, but why didn't you include a double lane crossing like in the cargo train? This train is most likely going to be purchased by a kid who wants a train for their city and they would probably need a full road crossing. Overall I really like this train, but their are few things that I would change. This was a Christmas gift which worked a few times.. then suddenly stopped (the power functions part of it). It can still be pushed around manually. Customer service said there is a known issue with the battery box for this train and that I have to go get Kodak batteries because those ones are found to work in it and that Energizer and Duracell will not work due to the knobs on the top of the batteries not being tall enough.
