The attraction is located on the south side of Crown Center Square at 25th and Grand Blvd. The attraction offers a fun, highly interactive and educational two to three-hour indoor experience ideal for families with children 3-10 years old. Based on the ever popular LEGO brick, the LDC provides a range of interactive play areas including a 4D cinema; master classes from the LEGO Master Model Builder; an exciting LEGO laser ride; special party rooms for birthdays and other celebrations; as well as the MINILAND exhibit featuring iconic Kansas City buildings. A shop selling LEGO toy product and other LDC items; and a cafe where parents can have a coffee or buy light snacks. Please note, to enter LEGOLAND Discovery Center. They have building stations all over. They have built a lego replica of Kansas City that is really neat. They show some lego cartoons in the theater and have just a really fun environment for all. Took the four-year-old, who likes Legos and adores vehicles. Spent most of the time in the racetrack but he also did the play area and did a bit of building. Would have been more enjoyable had we built in three or four hours and taken a friend. If we had a whole day and enough stamina, the combo ticket with... If you're looking for something kid friendly to do in KC this is a great place to spend 3-4 hours easy. I bought tickets online as they are a few dollars cheaper. The $6 activity pass also gives them something else to do while they're in Legoland. They kids collect buttons at the end by stamping the activity necklace at... Great place, lots to do, even have adults only days. Right next to the aquarium so you can get a ticket to cover both. This is the place to go with younger children obsessed with Legos.
They really designed this place very well with children in mind and it's a very safe place to play and learn. I went with my kids during the holiday break and it was a bit crowded in the afternoon. But the crowds lessened after a late lunch and... There were so many neat things to do and see but it was overwhelming with all the people packed in there. I would recommend not going on a weekend. We all thought the ride to save the princess was the best. I even beat my husband on the points earned from shooting bad guys and spiders! My 1 yr old... We visited both Sea Life and LEGOLAND with discount rate tickets purchased together that were still a little pricey. Overall it was a good visit. The staff there was very friendly and the exhibits were fun. My son loves Ninjago so he loved the ninja area. The two rides are very tame but my almost 8 year old liked them... Young kids will come alive in this place. There are fun (short) rides; there are amazing displays; there is a TON of stuff for kids to get there hands on and play with;
