LEGO® Master Builder Academy LEGO® City Play Zone LEGO® Racers: Build & Test Hi...just wondering if there is any lego shops in the city or easy to get to .....or are the prices cheaper in normal shops ( and what shops sell it)...Im coming from australia nd most things are double the price....Im looking for technic mostly...thanksThere are stores in the malls at Braintree, Natick, Burlington and Peabody. Do you have a car? Honestly, the prices are not inexpensive in the Lego stores, but the selection is wide.
Being the parent of a Lego -obsessed boy, I have found that the prices are cheaper at Walmart, if you can get there with a car, although the selection is more limited. BUT, check the toy sections of the TJ Maxx (downtown crossing) and Marshalls (back bay) in Boston as they often (but not always) carry Lego and the prices will be cheapest there, although the selection will be limited and not the most recent Lego lines. Edited: 8:10 am, February 29, 2012 4 destinations mentioned in this post and they said one is coming soon to the mall out there, are there walmarts in these malls also? And will try your suggestions too....Yes gotta love lego obsessed boys......thanks again I looked up your conference and it is at Coco Key in Danvers? Not to be nosy but wanted to make sure I give you the correct info. That hotel, as I remember, is really not near any public transport or within walking distance of any shops. I don't know if there is public transport directly from Danvers to Boston but there is a commuter train to Boston from nearby Salem.
To get the most from your stay, you would really need a car just to get away from your hotel. Maybe, find someone who does have a car and schedule a shopping trip. lego shop kurfürstendamm berlinDanvers is about 20 miles north of Boston. buy unofficial lego setsNow, for the Good News: Danvers has the Liberty Tree Mall, which has a Target and a Marshall's, both of which will have Lego, particularly the Target. buy lego portraitThere is also a Walmart nearby, but not in the mall.buy lego hockeyThe mall in Peabody is also pretty close by car, and there is a Lego store there. lego caterpillar buy
Edited: 5:18 pm, February 29, 2012 2 destinations mentioned in this post BooKat is correct that CoCo Key is not near public transportation. buy lego bunny suit guyIn fact, the hotel is in a very isolated area. There are a few public buses that run from Danvers to Salem where there is commuter rail service to Boston, but their routes aren't near CoCo Key (plus service is infrequent). I wonder if the conference will be offering some kind of shuttle service around the local area. In addition to the stores noted by BooKat, there are also two TJ Maxx stores in nearby Peabody, one just down the road from the Walmart in Danvers and the other in a more out-of-the-way strip mall in West Peabody. Though not walking distance from CoCo Key, downtown Danvers has two independent toy stores remarkably enough (it's a small town); I don't know if they carry Legos. In addition to the stores already mentioned, there's a Toys R Us at the Northshore Mall in Peabody, which I'd think would carry a good supply of Legos.
It's in a separate building across a parking lot from the mall. I could be wrong, but I don't think the Legos store at the NS Mall has opened yet. I think you're correct, Molly. Lego website says opening soon, so hopefully that's before the OP's conference. You are all so helpful.....thanks....No car so will have to see where is best and the hotel will pick me up from the city for the conference...... Ask the hotel for the names and numbers of local taxi companies because by Boston standards, that hotel is in the "middle of nowhere" (even though it's a SHORT taxi ride to both the Liberty Tree Mall n Danvers and the Northshore Mall in Peabody.
