In this time of Christmas holiday, I'm going to share how my son, Michael, has been addicted in playing LEGO brick. Back then, a couple months ago, he was seeing a video in youtube.
shop lego englandAt first search, my 6 years old son, who is going to be 7 years old in the next month, was typed a kind of cartoon movie. But somehow, his search ended up in this trailer video. The LEGO Movie Videogame Official Launch Trailer YouTube video is courtesy of WBGAMES He then insisted me to buy him the PC version game of The LEGO Movie Videogame. After I got the game installed on my PC, he got extremely excited. But, after a week played the game alone, he found the game was very hard for him. An Indonesian 6 years old boy without proper English speech, was finally managed to play the game, after seeing several tutorial videos in youtube.
That was amazing thing for him. Watching my son played The LEGO Movie Videogame, I became curious to play the game myself, and yes the game was very much addicted indeed. LEGO is not only the game versions that are very addicted, but its brick versions are also addicted to be played for people from age 6 to 99 years old. Yes, 99 years old. You may find it on the LEGO brick box, about the age which is suggested, in some LEGO collection bricks.Since my son Michael was still at the at of 3, I had introduced him in playing bricks. But, the bricks were not made by the LEGO brand. A type of larger brick, which much safer for kids below the age of 6. By the time he reached 6 years old, I allowed him to play the small type bricks. And the bricks that are made in Denmark, the home of LEGO brand, never doubt is very please indeed to be played. Not just for children, but for adult as well. Saturday, July 30 2016, 8:30 AM - 11:30 AM Greater Vancouver Zoo, 5048 - 264th Street, Aldergrove, BC, CanadaDrop off your LEGO sculpture at 8:30am, enjoy a morning at the Zoo, and then return at 11:30am for the judging and prizes.Every participant will receive $5.00 Trader Bucks (from Toy Traders) and winners have the option of having their structures displayed at Toy Traders Langley.Your ticket price includes entry to the Zoo as well as a $10 donation to animal conservation projects. *Notice for Zoo Members: Zoo memberships do not include special events. In order to participate in this special event, tickets must be purchased online through this website. If you would like to visit the zoo and not attend and/or take part in the special event, then your Zoo membership will cover your admission. We will have tons of fun activities and giveaways, like temporary tattoos, airbrushing, lobster LEGO sets, and magazines!
The top three creations for each category will receive prizes. Plus, there will be a “People’s Choice Award”! Here are some of the prizes that you could win: BUILDING CONTEST RULES:• Use your own LEGO© bricks and elements to build an original creation at home. Then bring your completed creation to the Greater Vancouver Zoo for display and judging.• Use only genuine LEGO bricks, elements, and pieces. Non-LEGO, non-building-block embellishments may be added to your display, but the build must be made from LEGO pieces.• Designs must be original. Models built from LEGO set instructions, or built essentially identical to LEGO retail set models are not eligible for the contest.• Only ONE creation per person may be entered.• Your creation must fit within a space of 30cm by 30cm, and be no taller than 60cm. Models will be measured prior to judging.• Entries must be brought ready to be displayed with minimal additional setup and re-building.• Major reconstruction and setup will not be permitted on the display tables.• Please
plan to bring your creation in at 8:30am then to take it away after the judging has occurred and the prizes have been given out.JUDGING CRITERIA:Building Skill - Brick building skill demonstrated (based on entrant's age)Interpretation of the Theme - How well the creation ties into the theme of animal conservationCreativity and Originality - Within the theme, how creative and original the build is, as well as clever and unusual usage of LEGO bricksPresentation - Any interesting additional presentation of the build, and any story aspects represented in its displayAGE CATEGORIES: 10 and under11-15 years16+ yearsJUDGES:A panel of judges will judge the entries based on the above criteria, and determine the winners in each age category. First, Second, and Third prizes will be awarded in each age category.SUBMISSION DETAILS:Bring your creation in for display at 8:30am on July 30, 2016. It will remain on display at the competition until 11:30am, at which time the winning creations will be determined by the judges.
Prizes will be immediately awarded to the winners, and you will then be free to retrieve your creation.LIABILITY:All possible care will be taken in the handling of entries.
