For those planning on building sets as a team, the kit divides nicely. The first booklet includes parts of the big towers that are built in the second one, so one of the people building it has to wait while the other builds this piece first (there are only two booklets, by the way). My sons have collected all the Kingdoms sets, and we all agree that this one has the best detail and the most ornate and unique minifigures of any so far, which is really saying a lot.

The final configuration is excellent, and there is only one glitch during the construction. The upper level of the main tower complex has a very unstable floor during construction, and so I would recommend building this step on a hard surface (not on carpet like I did!).
buy lego zombies sets The whole set came together in just a couple of enjoyable hours, and the combination of final buildings and characters is very appealing.
buy lego crane truck 8258 I had been waiting for this set since it was announced last October, and let me just say, it held up to the hype!
buy lego batman xbox 360Every mini figure adds a lot to the castle scene that I am currently building. The Queen who was previously only available as key chain or in the advent calender is a great addition.

The nobleman and the green princess are very nice bonuses as well. (The princess also has a frog with her...could this be her knight under a spell?) I think my favorite part of this set is the two knights tents. Very original idea that I hadn't seen before in previous jousting sets. My only issues with this set are just personal preferences. The Falcon Knight is a nice addition, but really, since he is the only one in the whole Kingdoms set, it kinda makes it hard to integrate him into my Dragon Knight army...but I digress...Great Set and a good challenge to put together. If it were more in the 100 dollar range rather than 120, I think it would be even better! But beggars can't be choosers and I've been on the begging end for this one for a while! This is a great set -- superb figures, including a wonderful Green Princess and Nobleman, a Lion Queen, Squire (no original parts, but a new combination), and yet another Lion King. Also, you get three Lion Knights (you can never have enough lion knights!) the gorgeous Lion and Falcon armor and barding, and a mysterious Black Falcon Knight.

I loved the way the jousting pavilions were different from each other. I was impressed by the little details in the towers, and the creativity in construction. I did add a 2x6 plate to the base and a pair of 1x1 round plates to the columns of the blue house wall to make it sturdier. Other than that, I thought construction was great. The tiny differences in tower techniques were a nice touch. This build took us several hours to do -- but it was broken up into smaller, playable sections, so we could stretch it out and get a lot out of it. The joust section alone was worth an afternoon of play! Good planning on the part of Lego Group. This set blends and fits perfectly with Medieval Marketplace. I look forward to a Black Falcons theme in the future (Black Falcons against Wolfpack?) and more great castle themed sets! Well, I'm not too happy about it being $120.00 ... but hey, it looks like it would be a great set along with my kings castle... I got that set on my 13th birthday, witch was a little more than a year ago givin the fact that I am now 14...

It looks really cool and I'd love to have it for my 15th birthday I don't know why its worh all that mutch money... but, I have a major concern about the website... want to hear it? the site is missing 12 other kingdomes sets... yes I'm not joking-12!!! another major thing they are missing is ALL the Indiana Jones sets, ALL the lego Castle sets and All the mars mission sets!!! Don't they need to fix this or or what!? P.S: hey lego group? can you guys please make an orange passenger train? I have been a fan of the medieval/castle themes for ages, so when I seen this I just had to have it! This set has a lot of details in it from the stained glass windows to the flowering vines. I especially love the format of this set with these two towers and a bridge connecting the two. You get a variety of different minifigures in this my favorites are the Queen, King, Knights, and the Princess. Although this castle has the red accents and fits so well with my other castles I would love it if Lego changed it up in terms of color and used more blues or purples or some other color than just the red.

Overall though its a really fun set with a lot of possibilities for building and playing! before i even finished the joust divider the 2 knights were already jousting, & as i built the tents i envisioned other knights of the realm w/ their own tents joining in (crownies, dragons, ducks to name a few). TLG keeps it fresh with different tents, and the two towers aren't quite symmetrical. which I didn't realize until I had placed a few pieces incorrectly. Just tons of fun all around. I have two, and plan to add more for a complete Colosseum the likes of which Rome hasn't seen. The bags are numbered, so it is suitable for younger builders, but there are a lot of cool building technigues utilized, which should satisfy older builders as well. I've owned mostly Technic sets and when I heard that the Kingdoms theme may soon be discontinued, I decided to give this set a try. It has a pretty good price per piece ratio and I was impressed with the building techniques they used.

If you appreciate little details, then this set will impress. I loved the tiling and different types of bricks they used for the walls. The red colour of the roof provided great contrast to the grey walls. The build was very enjoyable - it only took a few hours to build. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. I would totally buy another one to combine the two sets. Now that would be a grand spectacle! This set may spell the end for the Kingdoms line of LEGO sets, and I am very disappointed. Looking at the list of Themes, there are only 2 remaining Kingdoms sets, and one of them is a Chess board. Perhaps kids these days aren't into medieval battles anymore. Perhaps my entire fascination with knights and swords and bows and all that jazz was thanks to Video Games (I played Age of Empires and Warcraft when they were around), and I shouldn't glamourize the past that much. I suppose a Theme has to die some day. I mean, the Adventure Theme (featuring Johnny Thunder) died a few years ago, so maybe it's about time.

Can't say enough about this set. Even though castle sets have been a mainstay for Lego in the past 30 years, there have been very few Jousting theme sets. Of the three available, this is by far the largest, most complex, and rewarding to build and admire. This will become a prized collectible set in the future. Assembly was not too hard for me as an experienced adult Lego builder, but probably too challenging for my 6 & 8 year old sons to complete without my help. As always, the best part of collecting Legos is the time spent with enjoying the sets with my sons. The set arrived this morning, after I ordered it the second it appeared on the Lego shop on boxing day. It's a great set, excellent level of detail, and plenty of mini-figures. The style on the set links very well to the Kingdoms King's Castle, as well as the Medieval village. In fact this set is as good as the Medieval Village, in terms of size and quality. However it has less pieces, but is almost £20 more.
