The new Snowspeeder is a great new LEGO set, with a lot of detail and play-ability. The set is easy to build and features things like functioning missiles/blasters, making it a great gift for a child. However the Snowspeeder is also, for lack of a better word, nice to look at, and is great for displaying as well. The Snowspeeder does have a flaw, though. Often when opening the cockpit, the front of it will break apart from the back, though repairs are simple and easy. The set also comes with 3 minifigures: Rebel pilots Luke Skywalker and Dak Ralter, as well as an Imperial Snowtrooper. While not rare, these minifigs are neatly detailed from front to back. Also, the Snowtrooper's helmet and backpack are now separate bricks, allowing his head (helmet) to move, unlike in previous sets. The set includes a tripod-mounted blaster cannon as well which, while a nice addition, neither makes nor breaks the set. Overall, if you can find a price you like, I highly recommend this set, whether to play with or display.

I must say, this set has lots of detail. This is a re-release of older ones and is the best one yet. I have not owned any but have seen them. When I heard this was coming out, I knew I had to get it because this is an original set that I did not want to miss. The set fits 2 minifigures. I must say, the set makes it kind of a challenge to fit the minifigure in the back in. This is better than the Battle of Hoth set which was released in Winter of 2013 because of the detail focused on this. The build itself is fairly scaled down to how the original would've been to a person. The cable in the back is a bit too short. The cable only goes for a foot, probably wrapping around a walker once, so that is a con. The Snowtrooper is nice with its own little backpack and gun. Now to the Pros and Cons - The set is detailed. - 3 figures that are NEW - Build is secure and harder to break - Missles make a nice feature to the set - The cable is too short. - The figure that sits in the back has too much of a tight space.

At work, I like decorate my area with pieces that reflect my personality. Since I've been a huge original trilogy fan my whole life, I had to grab the Snowspeeder as the companion to my AT-AT. Overall, the build is easy and the details are good. I like the inclusion of the Snow Trooper and cannon if for no other reason than it fits with my AT-AT set. The tow cable, spring loaded hook, two jointed hatch, and the flaps on the wings are all nice details that add to the value of the set. It took me about 45 minutes, maybe less, to put together the set. Final verdict: Buy the Snowspeeder! The latest installment of the snowspeeder (This is probably the 5th or 6th version) is basically what its predecessors were. The build is sturdy, playable, and you are able to set it up as a decoration model. Few Lego sets have all three of these features.I especially like the new snowtrooper! The E-web (The snowtrooper cannon for you non-STAR WARS addicts out there.) They've made to many of these without really changing anything. I would recommend this to a friend! This is my first review so probably won't be the best but bare with me! After many years of not having Lego in my life; my girlfriend bought me the 9493 X-wing back from New York and since then I've amassed quite the collection. As a huge Star Wars fan and a collector of Space theme sets as a kids, I've mainly stuck to Star Wars sets and the Snow Speeder is the latest I've built. It's a fantastic set, not very time consuming to build but the finished product is great both for play and display. Unlike many I'm a fan of the spring loaded and stud shooters and this makes great use of both. Flick fire have always been poor from both an aesthetic and play point of view.

The set is obviously meant to be paired with the AT-AT which I'm currently sadly lacking... However for those without the AT-AT a solitary Snowtrooper is included to provide some opposition. This seems pretty pointless to me even from a play perspective. It's a very one side battle! It would have been far better to include a Tauntaun and rider which I think would have attracted far higher sales as they're no longer available. Overall it's a great set, but at the price point it's just missing something to make it perfect. Any halfhearted Star Wars cannot miss out on this classic Star Wars vehicle. The design is very good, and the level of detail high. However, I would recommend anyone to scout for bargains, because the full price of about 45 Euros is far too much. I actually did pay full price, since it happens very often that once I start building, a kit that seems overpriced turns out be properly valued. Sadly, this did not happen now. To make matters worse, the canopy-piece (Element ID: 4212372,Design ID: 47888) does not close properly!

I just contacted customer service about this, and I am hopeful it will be resolved satisfactory. For now, Luke has to fly with the cold winds of Hoth blowing in his face, and I doubt he'll be able to make the shot to tackle the AT-AT... Having not played with Lego for over 2 decades this was an awesome reintroduction to what used to be one of my favourite hobbies. The combination of Lego and Star Wars especially attracted me to this iconic ship from The Empire Strikes Back. The kit itself is quite accurate to its subject matter, with spring loaded missile pods and harpoon gun. I was impressed with the new pieces and building techniques that allowed for the angled wings and turbo lasers. I thought the use of stickers as replacements to preprinted would be a poor substitute. However the stickers are very high quality and appear clear and detailed. In summary I really enjoyed building this model and would recommend it to any collector This model is an absolutely excellent representation of the snowspeeder.

It is very playable and well-designed by LEGO, and makes a great display piece. A huge bonus is that is comes with 3 minifigures, and comfortably fits two in the cockpit. The shooter on the back is much more powerful than I'd expected, and fires its projectile a substantial distance. Also, the cockpit is well detailed and the spring-loaded shooters are really cool! The cockpit screen also folds in two spots to allow easy access for Dak. Sadly, the snowspeeder is a little too big compared to the AT-AT that I have. But other than that, this model is by far one of my favorites in my collection. I have decided there is some sort of interesting relationship with the Snowspeeder and fans of my age. It's a wonderful ship. Highly swooshable, it has this "pilot and rear gunner" thing going on. Lego has released at least 3 of these things. I'm not exactly sure why so many variations of the Snowspeeder exist; but, I buy them all. It has a lot of utlility in the harpoon and I suppose the reason for this particular re-release is for the AT-AT (75054) coming out at the same time.

If you don't already have a Snowspeeder, pick up a couple of these. You get a great "Dak" figure and Luke. But you can buld an army of Snowspeeders with other figures from other Hoth sets. The winter Star Wars is a unique sub-theme and very fun to play with. PROS: Updated Snowspeeder model. • Spring loaded missile launcher (this is silly, the flick fire missiles were also never meant to be "flicked" but "flown" with some imagination... Lego Group: Stop with the spring loaded stuff. We'll launch the missiles with our hands and imagination as the fuel. • Yet another re-release of the Snowspeeder. If you have all the others, you're compelled to get this one, too. • As with the OTHER Snowspeeder sets, the figures don't fit nicely in the cockpit. It's kinda a bend and stuff endeavor. I have to say, this set is a very great set. The build overall was easy. I like the features of the set, with the opening cockpit, stud blaster/harpoon tow cable feature, and the spring loaded missiles.
