You get two piece workshop (whether you connect them or not is up to you), the Sleigh, which I made one of the reindeer's nose red ;) and a little conveyer belt with toys. Plus tiny little details that enhances the display like North Pole sign, presents, Christmas tree and christmas lights hanging from the roof.
I would have given this a 5, but there is however some little nuisances like the steps from the side of the house has no good support, I had to improvise on the two lamps on the side of the house for they would just fall my barely touching then, The red attachment on top of reindeers fall off easily, as well as the lamps on the Sleigh. buy lego dragon ball z setsSanta's chair fall off pretty easy and had to improvised. lego shop ebayI think that's what makes it expert build, but it is really more advanced than expert.buy lego 60110 I recommend this for decoration purpose only, not suitable for playing for it will fall apart. buy lego wear online
Make sure it's stored away properly for you might have to rebuild some pieces for a next time. Overall, it is definitely worth buying. I actually received this set last year, but only got around to building it this year, and it looks amazing as a table decoration. Although the set isn't the largest, the detail on the Legos make up for the slightly expensive price. buy lego 10187Santa's sleigh and reindeer add more build/play value to this set and adds onto the display factor. buy lego 10187The vivid colors makes it really fun and enjoyable to look at. The minifigures (Santa, Mrs. Claus and 4 elves), have incredible detail on their bodies and accessories. My only complaint is; why do they have angry faces? In my opinion, that is an addition that isn't necessary. Besides that, this set is flawless and I highly recommend it for those who need decoration or simply need to get in the holiday spirit.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! I brought this set to have as a Lego Christmas decoration which myself and my 2 little girls could build together and then pull out ever Christmas and have as an exciting annual Lego Christmas build. The set did not disappoint, great detail and great fun to build, my youngest got a little board building it but my eldest built the set with my help in around 2hours. It now currently stands pride of place in the living room, the big issue now is my kids want to play with it rather than have it as a decoration. One minor issue, we had a piece missing (a first for me from lego) I used a replacement piece from our own collection of parts, but I've simply followed Legos great missing piece process and I'm hoping the missing part will arrive in the post at no extra cost Overall great Christmas family fun I was so excited for this year's Lego Holiday set to come out so I could add to our Winter Village, that has become a staple in our home during the holidays.
After seeing pictures of the set and watching the YouTube reveal on the Lego channel, I was underwhelmed to say the least. Last year's Winter Market, with the carousel as the centre piece, was a great addition and Santa's Workshop is a let down in comparison. Seeing the interior of the Workshop, there is a laziness to it. When you look at the incredible detail in the Winter Cottage, the tiled floor and hanging stockings, you'd think that Santa's Workshop would have at least that level, if not more. I agree with the other reviews, the Christmas tree and North Pole are both too small for what this is supposed to be. When you think of Santa's Workshop, whether it comes from numerous movies, books or just your own imagination, there's an image of grandeur and wonder that comes to mind that just isn't reflected in this set. I love the detail in the set like the way the snow bricks above the front door of the workshop make it look like the snow is sliding off the roof, and the giant candy canes that are sticking out of the "snow" near the front door.
Even though there are only 4.5 reindeer, I think adding 4 more reindeer would make playability much more difficult. You could always buy 2 sets to get all 8 reindeer. The elf minifigures are a nice addition to the elf minifigure that came out in Series 11, which I had added to the Toy Shop scene. I look forward to building and displaying all of the sets in the holiday theme every year and feel like this set fits in nicely. Added a red 1x1 circle to the baby reindeer's nose to make him look like Rudolph! Even though there is no light brick, there are some nice pieces, like the translucent red bricks that surround the window. Mrs. Claus is also a nice addition for those who collect minifigs. Overall a cute set displaying what I would picture Santa's workshop would look like! I've never had this happen before! I bought this last year but didn't have a chance to build it for Christmas, so I didn't explore the box until this Christmas season. I got through bags 1 and 2, and started on the 3 bags... when I noticed a missing bag.
My kids were in the process of building the elves' bodies when they discovered missing heads and hats. And I was building Santa's house and started to not find other pieces, too. So, in mid build, I'm at a standstill. Is complaining here enough, or do I have to make a formal complaint somehow? It's an annual tradition to rebuild our Lego Christmas sets and set up a Christmas Village. This is a great family event. Looking forward to more sets to come. Was a bit disappointed it was not a building this year. We did not buy the train. Building it definitely makes me feel Christmas. It was very fun and cute. The detail is amazing. I put the sleigh on the roof, so it looks like flying! Santa's Workshop is a pleasure to build and made a wonderful addition to my Christmas Lego display! The exterior of Santa's workshop is adorned with fairy lights and two Minifigure-high candy-canes. Hanging above the door is the Santa's Workshop sign, if the North Pole sign-post hadn't given away where you are!
The interior features some delightful details including Santa and Mrs. Claus' holiday photo on the wall and an Elf recruitment poster stating "Santa Needs You" One room holds the gift wrapping station with paper and ribbons ready to go, while upstairs Santa's comfy chair waits with a pile of letters from children. The other two elements to the set are Santa's Sleigh and the toy machine! The sleigh is one of my favorite parts, of a very sleek design and pulled by four reindeer. Reindeer can be harnessed to the sleigh or can go free range! Finally, there is the toy machine, operated by a team of elves. Its conveyor belt is made from grille tiles and the machine is adorned with levers, buttons and dials as well as two heavy duty exhausts for when they toy making goes into overdrive! I had a lot of fun building this set and took pleasure in discovering each detail as I went along! When this set was announced, my wife and I immediately knew it had to be a part of our collection.
