As Han Solo once said, "You've never heard of the Millennium Falcon? She's the ship that made the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs." See also: New 'Star Wars' trailer is here, and Han Solo is back To celebrate "May the 4th Be With You" Monday, the world’s only father and son Lego Master Builder duo, Dan and Chris Steininger, spent Saturday and Sunday building the Millennium Falcon — the ship Han Solo and Chewbacca fly in the original Star Wars film — as well as two TIE Fighters. The Millennium Falcon model stretches approximately five-metres wide and used up to a quarter of a million Lego bricks, while building the two-metre high TIE Fighters took almost 80,000 Lego bricks. The pair even built the world's largest Darth Vader in Sydney last year, which ended up being more than three-metres tall. "It's so iconic, so loved," Dan said. "Lego and Star Wars together makes this just a huge deal." Dan and Chris Steininger.So, how does someone get to be a Lego Master Builder — clearly the best job ever? Luck of location may have had a little to do with it. The pair are from Massachusetts, not far from Lego HQ in Enfield, Connecticut. Dan has been a Master Builder for twenty-one years, while his son has been on the job for five-and-a-half years. Chris got his start at the Lego company in high school, when he went into the office with his dad and worked on projects during school vacation. "There's no university of Lego, unfortunately. It's mostly on the job training," he said.
