On Tuesday, the retailer launched a site previewing its Black Friday specials with 27 pages worth of discounts. At Best Buy, Black Friday will start at 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day. The retailer is also offering eight deals on November 10 to lure in buyers way ahead of time. For consumers, Black Friday is a chance to pick up products for themselves or for others at often heavily discounted prices. For retailers, it is one of the most critical days of the year, accounting for a significant percentage of their sales. Last year, 87 million people shopped on Black Friday, according to the National Retail Federation. Best Buy's preview is a way to give customers a head start and to tempt them to spend at its stores and website.
